Store Policies

New and used books for sale. I accept used books and can offer store credit for any books I feel I can re-sell. Please contact me before bringing in more than one box of books at a time. At this time, store credit cannot be applied through the website. If you would like to use store credit for your online order, please contact me before checkout.

Note: the covers of books in stock may not match the cover image on the website. If you are collecting for covers, or the cover art matters to you, you may wish to contact me before completing your order to ensure the edition I have is the one that you want. I try to stock used books that are in good condition, and used books are priced with their condition in mind. If you see a pretty inexpensive book, you might guess that it's in less-than-mint condition.

Shipping Policy:

Shipping is calculated upon checkout, with free shipping in Canada for orders over $100. If you’d like to save on shipping costs, contact me to arrange for a curbside pickup at the store, or a contactless porch delivery (free for orders over $25) to addresses within a 1.5 hour drive of Fenelon Falls.

Store Credit Policy:

Books determined to be re-sellable earn 30% of the book’s price in store credit. Store credit can be applied in-store for up to half of your purchase, with the other half being paid by cash or debit. Remaining store credit stays in your account for future use. Store credit can only be applied to used books; new books and gift items are not eligible for store credit redemptions. At this time, store credit cannot be applied to online orders. Please contact me before checkout if you would like to use store credit on your order.

If you have books that you’re finished with that you’d like to turn in to me, either for donation or for store credit evaluation, please put your books in a sealed cardboard box, labeled with your name and phone number. If you are planning to bring in more than one box at a time, please contact me first as a courtesy.

Café:

While I re-evaluate my relationship with my broken espresso machine this winter, I will be planning an exciting new direction for the café portion of the bookstore for next spring and summer. Latte lovers are encouraged to check out Sip on Colborne Street here in town to get their fix!
